Executive Director/Founder
Brooklynne is a passionate advocate for youth sports and community engagement, driven by her enduring love for athletics and her commitment to fostering inclusive recreational opportunities. As a former college softball player, she honed her skills on the field, excelling both in gameplay and leadership, which laid a strong foundation for her future endeavors.
She earned a degree in Recreation Services, Sport and Hospitality Management, combining her two passions: sports and community development. This educational background equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to create impactful programs that promote physical activity and personal growth among youth.
Following her graduation, Brooklynne took her expertise to a local city, where she was entrusted with overseeing recreational activities, including youth sports and community programs. With a focus on accessibility and participation, she worked tirelessly to expand opportunities for young athletes to ensure every child has the chance to engage in sports.
With the founding of the Build A Bag Foundation, Brooklynne aims to inspire and empower the next generation through sports, fostering teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Her vision is to create a community where youth can thrive both on and off the field, developing not just athletes, but well-rounded individuals ready to take on life’s challenges.

Treasurer
Devin brings valuable experience from the nonprofit sector to Build A Bag Foundation. She holds a Bachelors degree in the History of Art from UMKC. Her background in the nonprofit sector is expansive including program development, financial management, grant writing, volunteer management, and community partnerships.
Devin has previously served on multiple nonprofit boards in the Kansas City area.
With a passion for nonprofit work, she became involved with the Build A Bag Foundation after learning about their mission and drive to support Kansas City youth through sports.
While growing up, she participated in youth sports including softball, basketball, and cheerleading. She has seen first-hand the positive impact sports have on youth not only through her experience, but more in watching her children develop their own skills through sports.
As the parent of two young boys, She encourages their participation in youth sports to develop a healthy lifestyle, life long friendships and improve their leadership skills, teamwork, and overall individual confidence.
She is looking forward to bringing her knowledge and expertise to continue impacting the youth in Kansas City.

Dalton brings a wealth of experience and passion for youth development to our nonprofit board. With a background as a former police officer, he has dedicated his career to serving the community and fostering relationships with young people.
A firm believer in the power of mentorship. Dalton is committed to guiding youth towards achieving their full potential. His time spent working at a daycare during his youth has instilled in him a deep understanding of the importance of early childhood development and the profound impact of role models in a child’s life.
In addition to his professional background, Dalton is passionate about sports and recognizes its vital role in teaching teamwork, discipline, and resilience. As a board member, he aims to leverage his experience and enthusiasm to create meaningful programs that inspire and uplift our youth through sports and mentorship.
Dalton is excited to collaborate with fellow board members and community partners to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

Brianna adds an extremely vital role as a board member. She is proudly from Wilmington, California. Growing up, she was deeply influenced by her grandparents’ values of hard work, compassion, and community service. They instilled in her the importance of giving back and supporting those around our community.
Sports played a significant role in her life, especially during her high school years, Playing volleyball and participating in track not only kept her active but also taught her invaluable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and responsibility. Through the challenges and victories, she found a sense of purpose that shaped who she is today.
Her hero is her younger sister, who lifted her up during some of her lowest moments. her unwavering support and strength inspired her to push through difficulties and strive for success. It’s this bond and her resilience that motivates her to make a positive impact in the community.
She graduated with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. She has experience working as a surrogate victim/advocate which positively impacted the community.
Today, she is committed to using her experiences and the lessons learned from sports and family to empower others. Through her opportunity with Build A Bag Foundation, she hopes to inspire individuals to overcome their challenges and realize their potential. Together, we can create a supportive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Nancy is a passionate advocate for community support and empowerment, rooted in St. Louis as the oldest of five siblings. Growing up from a vibrant neighborhood, Nancy developed a love for sports by watching, keeping score managing football, baseball, and kickball with friends and family. Inspired by her friends and families dedication to sports, she learned the importance of teamwork and perseverance from an early age.
As a mother of eight, Nancy deeply understands the challenges families can face during tough times. Her personal experiences have fueled her commitment to helping others navigate their own struggles. A woman of faith, she draws strength and inspiration from her beliefs, guiding her efforts in the community.
With a degree in Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management, Nancy combines her professional expertise with her passion for service. She is dedicated to creating opportunities for others through her non-profit work, ensuring every individual feels supported and valued in their journey.
